How-to Guides

Set Up a Real TV Guide from Your XMLTV Feed

A proper channel-and-timeline guide, drawn from your own feed.

A channel list is not a guide. Klave builds a proper timeline EPG from the XMLTV feed your playlist provides — the kind you scan, not scroll.

01

Point Klave at your EPG

Xtream logins usually carry the guide automatically. For M3U playlists, add your XMLTV EPG URL to the source’s settings. Klave downloads it, matches programs to your channels, and keeps it refreshed.

Where to find it
The XMLTV URL comes from the same service as your playlist — often labelled “EPG”, “XMLTV”, or “guide”. Klave only reads it; it never provides one.
02

Now, Next, and live progress

Every live channel shows what is on now, what is next, and a live progress bar for the current program. The full grid is a clean channel-and-time layout you can scan across, with the current time marked.

03

Reminders that notify you

  1. 1Open the guide and find an upcoming program.
  2. 2Tap Notify Me to set a reminder.
  3. 3Klave notifies you when it starts — on whichever device you are using.

Reminders sync through your own private iCloud, so a reminder set on your iPhone still fires on your Apple TV.
