Importing an M3U or M3U8 Playlist URL

Paste one link and let Klave do the rest.

Have a standard M3U or M3U8 playlist URL? Paste it into Klave and your library builds itself. Klave supports the plain-URL playlists you already have — it does not host, sell, or recommend any of them.

01

Paste the URL

  1. 1Add a new source and choose the M3U / M3U8 option.
  2. 2Paste your playlist URL — the same link you would open in any player.
  3. 3Optionally add your XMLTV EPG URL so live channels get a real guide.

Klave fetches the playlist, dedupes duplicated titles, and groups movies and shows into a clean, browsable library.

02

What the stepped import does

The import runs in transparent steps rather than one all-or-nothing pass. Channels, movies, and series come in progressively, and if a single feed or category is malformed, Klave skips just that piece and keeps going — so one bad entry never blocks the rest of your library.

Big playlists
Very large playlists import in the background and stay smooth to browse while they finish. Everything is cached locally on your device for fast, offline-friendly browsing.
03

When a feed misbehaves

If a channel will not play or a title looks wrong, resync the source from its settings. Klave rebuilds the affected pieces while preserving your favorites, hidden categories, and layout, which sync through your own private iCloud.
